Show Dugway, Utah Published in the interest of the personnel of Dugway Proving Ground -- Hispanics DWCCommunity Services to sponsor Lunch and Learn The Dugway Womens Club and Community Services a "Lunch and Learn seminar on Wednesday, September 12, 1984 from 11:30 to 2 p.m. in the Community Club. The speaker for the Seminar is Dr. Rex W. Turner and his topic will be "Mood Control. Dr. Turner presently serves the Veterans Administration as Chief of the Drug and Alcohol Dependence Substance Abuse Treatment Units. He was recently awarded a substantial research program by the Health Services Research Division of the Veterans Administration to investigate innovate treatment methods for depression. are . Turner has authored professional papers and presen- tations concerned with depression, substance abuse, and sexual disfunction, and is presently Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychology at the University of Utah and a member of the clinical faculty in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Price for the Luncheon is $3.75; COL Nydam has granted Administrative Leave for those wishing to attend. Music coming to Community Club The weekend of Sept. 13 and 14 offers something for everyone at the Oasis. Not one but twp bands will perform for your listening and dancing enjoyment. Dust off the cowboys hats and boots and come kick with "Country Comfort on Thursday, the 13th . . . why not try the new improved pizza specials and make a night of it. If contemporary music suits your style the Oasis is still the place on Friday the 14th as "Destiny returns with all your favorites. Both bands will start at 8:30 p.m. so grab your favorite partner and head on down to the Oasis . . . YOUR Community Club. Joint BSA Court of Honor to be held Boy Scout Troops 517 and 481 invite the community to Fries Park (outside in the old trailer court) for a Joint Eagle Scout Court of Honor to be held at 6 p.m. Septem- ber 16. Receiving Boy Scoutings highest rank will be Larry. White of Troop 481 and Jimmy Deal of Troop 517. All Eagles are welcome to roost in the Eagles Nest at the Court, mittee will visit the Child Development Center and in the construction of pinatas. In the evening hours of Monday, the committee will sponsor a Hispanic cooking class at the high school home-e- c room. Come by and learn how to cook your favorite Mexican dish the authentic way! Tuesday will be a busy one with preschoolers breaking the pinatas they constructed on Monday, and with an Hispanic luncheon at the club from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admin time has been approved for this event. At the lunch, dancers will perform and a fashion show will be held. There will be a bus to provide transportation to and from the Ditto area. The Hispanic dancers will also perform at the high school from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. On the 13th, Wednesday, there will be an Hispanic assist the pre-schoole- rs . fiesta for all Dugwayites Chapel Picnic for Catholic and Protestant congregations will be held Sept. 16 on the chapel lawn. The chapel will provide: ham, chicken, beans, bread, beverages, condiments, and place settings. Each family is to bring a dessert and vegetable or salad. Inclement weather schedule: Activity room of the chapel. Catholic and Protestant Sunday School starts Sept. 16. Both Catholic and Protestant Sunday Schools need teachers! Please sign up now!
