While digging through some files the other day, 1 ran across a pamphlet called, "A Sensitive Listener of the 1980s - A Glossary of Terms. This booklet contained about 30 different sayings which are used by males everywhere to describe women. BUT HAVE you ever heard the familiar terms used in conjunction with men? I doubt it. So to show you how these cliches can be used for the male,' weve listed some below along with an explanation as to what they mean. 1. Hancocks article on Sexual 1 larrassment I would like to say BRAVO. But I would like also to add one males point of view. After having spent four years in the US Army I feel I have enough experience to back up my statements. And since I am known for not being for women in the Army, I feel my views should be heard, then maybe some of the higher ups in the system can hear one male soldiers viewpoint. I SINCERELY doubt there are many male soldiers that are afraid of an equal female soldier, but I do feel there are a number of male soldiers (myself included in both statements) that are totally against female soldiers using their sex for special treatment. My first two years in the Army were spent in Germany where I worked both with and for female soldiers, and my main complaint ws just that. Women using the weaker sex routine to get out of dirty details, to get days off, etc. But then again they wanted to be treated as equals. At first I thought I was wrong. Then my E.T.S. date arrived I came back home to Utah and attended college. During these two years I saw very few cases of women abusing their sex. It was then I realized I was .. 2-- over-weig- ht .
