From the edge of a fast paced highway, voices still speak from the canyon walls LOOKING SOUTH from near Church Rock, cowboys and sheepmen left their sometimes poignant sentiments ona sandstone wall, just a few hundred yards from the highway. es REMNANTS OF A PLANE CRASH In the 1960s, a B-S2 bomber exploded in mid-air. just south of Church Rock. Bits of debris still litter the crash site. A feature story will appear in The Zephyr on the crash this summer. LONESOME COWBOYS: : 1951 OFFICIAL UTAH HIGHWAY MAP: Church Rock could be a very lonely place in the 1930s. "REMEMBER OF ME.." His name was L.E. Mestas and he came from Durango, Colorado.
