w Richard and Marilyn Meng of Logan Joy was bom Aug 1 5 1 920 in Thornton Idaho the eldest daughter of Cart Richard and Fredonia Swenson She married Waiter Meng on July 16 1941 in the Cardston Alberta Cana- da LOS Temple Walter died Dec 22 1954 On Dec 7 1956 she married Douglas S Bean in Sugar City Idaho Douglas died Dec 5 1993 Joy grew up on the family farm in Burton Idaho and graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg Shortly after their marriage Walter and Joy moved to Brigham City and then to Ogden as Walter worked as a carpenter in building the Army Hospital and various building projects at Hill Air Force Base They returned to a small larm near Rexburg in 1943 Joy and Walter had one son Richard Because of Walter's illness family moved to Rexburg and Joy provided income for the family by working first at Evans Ice Cream Parlor then in a drug store and for several years she worked at the Ashilman Shoe store in Rexburg where she' made some lifelong friendships In November of 1954 Joy was elected Madison County Trea-in surer and was 1956 Following her marriage to Douglas Bean the family moved to Teton Idaho where Doug was a farmer and rancher Joy and Doug lived in Teton until 1990 Because of some health problems Joy and Doug sold their farm and moved to Logan to be dose to family Joy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary Sunday school mutual and Relief Society Joy was preceded in death by her parents and by her two loving husbands Walter and Dou- glia She is survived by her son Richard and daughter-in-laand Marilyn Meng of Logan her two sisters Gwendolyn Bratt of Sugar City and Shirfey and Fred Dee Saurey of Logan She is also survived by her four grandchildren and their spouses Tina and Blake Jensen of Salt Lake City Melissa and Taylor Duer-sc- h of Jamesburg NJ Ryan and Misty Meng of West Jordan Utah arid Cindy and Steve Larsen of Logan She Is also survived by eight with two more on the ' and by many loving nieces way Floyd R Bodrero LOGAN -Floyd R Bodrero beloved hus- band father grandfather and passed away Aug: 14 2002 in the Logan Regional Hospital after a sudden stroke He was 90 Floyd was bom Dec 4 1911 io Moses and Wilhelmina Wanner Bodrero He was educated in the Logan city schools and as a young man showed an interest in music and enjoyed the saxophone Floyd spent most of his early life working on the family farm His love for the soil and the challenge of farming set him on the path and gave him the vocation that he would pursue the rest of his life His chosen career helped him become a horseman a dairyman a welder a mechanic a a farmer He was never too busy to help someone in need often working into the early hours of the morning He loved farming gardening old farm equipment old cars and model trains and tractors He was active and lived independently until the day of his death Floyd married Ruby Anna Kunz on Jan 12 1942 They had seven sons and one daughter Dennis (Betsy) of Tooele Marsha (Gary) Hudson serving in the Denmark Mission Copen- hagen Keith (Sandra) of Colorado Springs Cok James Lynn (Cyndy) of Taylor Utah Travis (Laura) of West Jordan Rex (Karen) of Hyde Park and the-littl- master-of-all-trad- Larry He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby sons Dennis James and Larry one brother Earl two sisters Mae (Mrs w Scores Steele Leatham) and Clara and one grandson He is survived by daughter Marsha sons Keith Lynn Travis and Rex sisters Hazel (Mrs Joel Ricks) of West Valley City Laura (Mrs Marvin Nungesser) of Logan Barbara
