Show W - m A6 — The Herald Journal Logan Utah Saturday March 23 2002 Obituaries About Cache Gina Louise Bruce ' William Burr : HYRUM Utah — Gina Louise Lindley 36 passed away Thursday March 21 2002 at her home in Hyrum following a lin- NIBLEY Utah Bruce William Burr ' A flic CAPS match b Saturday at The Cache Valley Hunter Education Center is located three miles west of Logan onthe Valley View Highway (Hwy 30) This months CAPS Match is free to any shooter who has never shot with us before A required New Shooter Orieii- tation Class will begin at 7:45 am and join the match at 9 am Eye and ear protection are required and spectators are Lindley our husband father son grandpa and friend returned to his loving heavenly father on March 20' 2002 He was bom in Logan Utah on Nov 2 1 947 to his ' parents Bill and Betty Burr Bruce graduated from Sky View High School in 1966 After graduation he served in the Gulf States Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints He married his beloved wife Lana Thurston for time and all eternity in the Logan LOS Temple on Dec 46 1970 From that time on to know Bruce was to know the love that ’ he had for his wife which he showed every day through his actions Bruce worked as a letter carrier for the Hyrum Utah post office for 29 years He touched the lives of many people in the town of Hyrum during this time He also served as an elders quorum president and never missed a month of home teaching Bruce also had a calling with the special needs mutual which he loved dearly Not only did Bruce serve God but he also served his country in the US armed forces He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War Bruce also spent 20 years in the US Army Reserve Bruce Jived a joyous and meaningful life People say he lived more in his 54 years than most people can firinto BO He was always positive and upbeat and loved to live life to the fullest Bruce loved to spend time camping and playing with ' his parents and brothers Among Bruce's greatest joys in life were spending time with his grandkids Holidays were also cherished by Bruce and those who shared them with him will always remember these times Bruce had a special way of making those around him have a brighter day Bryce is survived by hjs wife Lana Jean son Jared Burr (Nikki) daughters Kara (Jay ' Dee) Jensen and Krista (Benji) Christensen parents Bill and Betty three brothers Brad (Lynette) Brent (Lome) arid Bart (Tammie) Bruce was also the proud grandfather of Jacey and Christian Jensen Bruce also leaves behind his companion “Shade" He was loved by many and will be missed Funeral services will be held Monday March 25 2002 at ' noon in the Nibley LDS Church 360 W 3200 South wfol Bfehop Lowell Johnsort conducting Friends may-calSunday eveningJrom 6:30 to 8:30 prri in this Alien-Ha- ll Mortuary 34 E Center and at the church on Monday from 1 0:30 to 11 :45 gering illness Gina was bom Nov 18 ' 1965 in Santa Ana Calif She attended school in California and Arkansas She graduated ' from high school and then attended college at the University of Arkansas Little Rode and Utah State University She moved to Cache Valley to attend USU after becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints She married ' ' At approximately 4:30 pm yes- -' terday the Dow Jones industrial Average was 1047984 -
