Viola Williams Funk She spent her childhood in Rexburg Idaho Duchesne Utah and Richmond Utah She graduated from North Cache High School in Richmond and receivkl a bachelor's degree from Utah State University in 1946 She com-plated a dietetic internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland Ore in 1947 She received a master's degree from the University of Washington and a doctorate degree in foods and management from Michigan State University in 1966 She was employed as si hospital dietitian at the University of California at Berkeley in 's Pocatello Idaho and at Hospital in Denver Colo ' She served as an assistant professor at Michigan State University and at Utah State University anp as an associate professor of foods at Washington State University She retired in Chil-dren- in 1988 Her interests included Utah history crafts quilting and ' weaving She will also be remembered for her cooking and baking especially her legendary cinnamon rolls ' She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints She is survived by al brother Calvin W (Carol) Funk Richmond and a sister Leah Grace (Charles Durrell) Hendricks Ska-belu- 88 passed away orv Feb 26 2002 at the Logan Simkins and Tamra Boccia He attended Cache Valley schools and graduated from Logan High He was a lifetime resident of Cache Valley where he owned and operated his own farm and raised Black Angus cattle He loved farming' working the soil planting and harvesting He continued to work his farm until just before his death Howard loved fishing hunting and camping Re was an avid Utah State
