VAS FOULLY assassinated and HI hone fired in order to conceal crime homer ward a young ranchman ranch map aged 23 living twenty four miles northwest of white sulphur springs mont was foun 1 dead in his cabin off the 2nd his body was partly burned and there was a bullet hole in his head A hole made by a bullet through a window pane indicated that he had been shot from behunc as he was seat ed at his table eating the body had then been laid upon the bed covered with bed clothing saturated with kerosene and a match applied this act of tailed the dead man s barn was burned the crime was committed several days ago and was discovered by a man who works at dan ranch no mothe Is known tor the crime the dead man was a brother in law of county attorney pease of gallatin county who with a deputy sheriff Is working on the case
