Show A6 — The Herald Journal Logan Utah Saturday April 12 2003 ' i Obituaries Edna Vs1 He was bom Nov 4 1923 in Afton Wyo the son of Edgar Crockett L LOGAN — Joseph and Annie Katherine EdrtaL Crock Wright Heap He served in the Army during World War II : ett 89 beloved mother died on Thursday April 10 2003 at her home in Logan after a courageous battle against : 20-ye- ar breast cancer She was bom : Nov 2 1913 in Brigham City Utafija daughter of Edward P Larsen and Amanda Cecelia Jenson Larsen She married Orval Stanley Crockett on Dec 8 1934 He preceded her in death Oct 5 1967 Edna was a very special lady She has given a lifetime erf service not only to her family but to her fellow men She has taken care of many people who were in need of help She was recognized by the governor of the state of Utah when she was 76 years old for her volunteer work from more than 12 years of service at Sunshine Terrace Edna was a true blue friend and was known as Grandma Crockett to hundreds of people She had a great ability to love everyone She always put others first She lived the com- mandment — "Love Thy Neighbor" Edna devoted her life to the service of her church by singing in the choir teaching Primary serving as a Relief Society welfare leader doing temple work and senring in many other callings She was blessed with a beau- tiful voice and she sang with a many groups including the Bel Canto Choir for 10 years She is survived by her children Sharon (Keith) Troison ' Ogden Dale O Crockett Logan and Steven L Crockett Logan five grandchildren Craig Bastian Randy Bastian and Shelley Bastian Jeffery Crockett and Ryan Crockett 16 and one He married Nada Jean Taggart on May 12 1942 in the Logan Temple He loved fishing camping and working with wood He built his own home in Bedword Wyo He was actively involved in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints He had served as a temple worker In the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple He is survived by his wife Nada Jean of Preston two sons and three daughters Bradley J (Cindy) Heap Conroe Texas Joelrai (John) Salas Tremontonftah Penny I I Mcriw0i Lewiston tten Annette (Herbert) Ellery Tremonton Utah and Lance E (Jena) Heap Cypress Texas 19 grandchildren 26 greatgrandchildren and by a sister Ellen Hefner Afton Wyo He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother and a sister Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday April IS in the Preston North Stake Center 310 N State with Bishop Cleve M Esplin conducting The family will receive friends Tues- day from 10 to 10:45 am at the stake center Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery Arrangements are by'Webb Funeral Home Sandra A Jensen THATCHER — Sandra Lee Andreasen Jensen 59 passed away Thursday April 10 2003 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston Idaho She was bom April 5 1944 in Preston Idaho the daughter of Max Wayne arid Emma Mar-deHarris Andreasen She married Eddie Seamons Jensen on June 22 1962 in the Logan Utah Temple She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Lat- -
