Fortunately Jan Young College of Eastern Utah's head of transfer issues says "Some stu- ar dents are under the misconception that Ihcir classes won't transfer but if they arc going from a state sduiol in a state system of Utah any class above 100 will transfer" Student responsibility strongly shapes how well students will transfer Young added “Students just have to be careful that the classes they lake are going to apply tothcirmajorslatcron So if they take welding or cosmetology and de- cidc that they are going to get a bachelor's degree in business those completed classes will not transfer to- wards the major but will transfer only to fill entrance requirements" Young explains that students must have the inliativc to take classes that will help them with their majors or at least point them in the direction they hope to attain Student awareness means student preparedness It is mostly an individual process Academically CEU students trans- faring do extremely well Young re schools
