Show A wave of The CEU Fine Aits Department is very pleased to invite every student to ihe first annual Art Splash beginning at 7:30 pm in the Geary Theatre on Friday May 29 Throughout the evening you will find a variety of activities featuring the collective talents of our students faculty members and guest artists A convenient schedule will allow you to enjoy each of the activities Admission is free and refreshments win be served Dance The Dance Department wiU present "Fanfare for the Common Man" and "Vivandieie" "Fanfare for the Common Man” is a jazz work composed of three different movements "Vivandieie" is an example of the Romantic Ballet Both works wiU be performed twice during the night Theatre Scenes from the recent production of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost will highlight appearances by CEU theatre students for Art Splash The productions will be held outdoors throughout the evening in the patio area north of the library In addition to Shakespeare students will also perform scenes from workshop productions and course projects Art Gallery East features the best of student's work All works displayed are creations by students at CEU Ait students have been working all year in preparation for this event which is part of Art Splash this year All works will be jur-rie-d and traditionally include drawings paintings sculpture prints and ceramics Many of them will be available for purchase An artist reception will be held and the exhibit will be open that night until 10 pm Awards will high-spirit- ed multi-layer- ed behin- expos d-the-scenes psycholog- ical drama offbeat love story and intricate displays film-within-fi- lm Movie executive Griffin Mill (Tim Robbins) appears to be smooth and successful confident and composed Designer water power lunches and cellular phones This is after all Hollywood His job is appearances and he's gotten very good at iL He is in show business parlance the ultimate player But behind his apparent assurance is a man who is about to lose control And it will take all his skill and cunning to regain five years Her poems have ap- peared in various publications including: Colorado Review Denver Quarterly Seattle Renew Deseret News and Quarterly West She has received the King's English Bookstore Poetry Award Plainsongs Poetry Award and has won first and second place in Serious Poetry by the Utah Arts Council be announced that evening The exhibition will be shown through June!
