McMullin Charles Madsen Joy J Mason Thelma Jo Nielson Elizabeth A Olsen Frank Henry Olsen Jona Rcbol Robby D Robertson Peggy Lynne Snow Gary Staley Boyd TTiayn Janet Gloria JoAnn Tryon Thorpe and Wilcox Urcsk Alice Mae Clavcll Wycherly The College of Eastern Utah is proud of the number of students that reached this level of achievement and pay tribute to them for their outstanding level of 4 - millionaire has filled his swimming pool with martinis claims ii's impossible to drown in it since the deeper you sink higher you get A He the Last Wednesday the CEU viewed a very special assembly put on by the Utah State Youngtimers a group of 12 energetic arid entertaining singers Dr Joseph Salvatore chairman of Division of Social Studies CEU selected the books from a wide range of materials presently being used in the study of mental health The array of selections was drawn from present texts in use in various universities in the country in addition to volumes included in the library of many experts in the field The subject of mental health is receiving wide attention on all school campuses throughout the country As a result this collection will be of great value and interest to many headers in the Castle Valley area The many bodes included in the mental health collection will be mode available to the general reading public specialized readers in addition to the CEU dy Lawrence Gonzales past president of the Carbon County Health Association and President Myrtle Bryncr were on hand during the volume presentation at the college Dean Walton Dean of Instruction at the college accepted the which was coordinated gift through the office of Mrs Evelyn Roberts This special collection will be added to from time to time through funds from the college Further contributions from interested groups or individuals to add to the special collection will be greatly appreciated The Youngtimers originated on the USU campus three and one-hayears ago and have been winning a larger and more enthusiastic audience with each per- lf formance Featuring a program of tunes and a variety of popular music ranging from "I Got to Be Me" to "Jet Plane” the Youngtimers injected their own brand of humor and enthusiasm into the performance The four piece combo provided excellent accompaniment for the singers Duets and solos complemented the show ranging from a fashion show featuring an all purpose bronze toned jacket through the thrilling performances by the soloists to a harmonica solo yak-hair- The quality of the humor the singing and the appeal of the entertainers to the audience made the assembly one CEU will Newman Week The Group members spent summer vacation 1968 working as maids desk clerks waitresses and bus boys by day and as successful performers by night at Sun Valley Idaho The singers will again return to Sun Valley this summer prior to a week tour of college campuses in the eastern United States under contract of Robert T Gaus Associated New York Gty Continual are engagements professional planned by the group from June through December 5-- 7 CEU would like to express its thanks to the Youngtimers and those who made the performance possible and can only say "Look out world here comes the April hour week 14 — AMS assembly Hip April April 5— Newman club assembly 2nd hour April re- - member for quite a while Coinfug April ed 3rd April 17—All CEU officer petitions most be in April 18-Sp- April 19-- Pageant ring Miss fonnaL Carbon County |
