climactic close tap tonight are two activities which are keyed toward both old grads and current students The first of "Super Friday’s" two activities is the alumni reception Sponsored by the CEU Development Committee the alumni reception begins On at 7:00 pm In the words of Kristen Diamanti general homecoming chairman “It is a wonderful opportunity for alumni to renew old friendships" Site for the reception will be the Geary Theatre Refreshments will be served The forecast for the CEU Var-it- y event Show at 8:00 pm number two of “Super Friday" will be clear and funny when television weatherman Bob Welti takes over his duties as master of ceremonies Featured along with Mr Welti's wit will be some local talent numbers and the five best homecoming skits Included among the skits to be presented are the Sophomore Class’s the Freshman Class’s the Dorm's the Institute's and the ABC Club's Acting as the Variety Show chairman is Linda Stcinmann At the variety show the homecoming Homecoming Ball at 9:00 pm Bands will play a prominent part in Saturday morning's Homecoming Parade with the Carbon Dino Band (a tournamnt of Roses Parade Participant) the Granger band and the CEU Marching Band definitely slated to make appearances Beb Welti again comes into the limelight as the Grand Marshal of the parade Leaving from the college parking lot at 11:00 am the parade will follow the traditional route Following the parade a lunch will be served to the visiting bands and pep clubs Ralph Taylor is serving as parade chairman Saturday evening the Homecoming Smorgasbord at 6:30 p m nnd the Homecoming Ball at 9:00 pm will bring an entire week of activities to a close The homecoming smorgasbord will cost $150 per person Reservations are open to students Speaking at the smorgasbord will be State Representative tarry Regis Jr Chairman of the smorgasbord is Dyann Pappas the Beginning at 9:00 pm will ball be highhomecoming lighted by a floor show under the direction of Joy Peterson and Ron Atwood In the area of decoration autumn colors will be stressed Parts of each homecoming float will adorn the area around the dance floor The Homecoming Ball Itself with corsages is a as an
