Show It's curtain time decade Utah State Theatre begins its fourth tab State Theatre is beginning its fourth decade in the Chase Fine Aits Center (FAC) at Utah Stale University where it calls the Morgan Theatre home The Department of Theatre Arts the producing agency for Utah Stale Theatre (UST) also produces at the Lyric Theatre in downtown Logan aad ia the flexible Studio Stage Theatre in the FAC room 224 According to department head Colin Johnson the theater Iraditiaa at USU began more than 100 years ago in 1896 with a production of The Galley Slave During the subsequent century the department and UST have fulfilled a mission to train students in performance technical theater and theater education A resulting benefit to the student community at USU and the residents of northern Utah is a foil schedule of theater productions in both the Mainstage and Conservatory seasons The department also produces a children's the-atproduction annually for elementary and middle schools
