until he had registered seven strikes in a row "1 started thinking about it" Smith said "Thinking of what would happen if I did do it then 1 was like 'No one frame at a time'" Smith admitted he began to get ner- No matter what the sport most athletes strive for that perfect game An outing where everything you do is right Two weeks ago today Mike Smith got to experience the feeling of having a perfect game first hand The Cache Valley native threw a 300 at Logan Lanes in the Tuesday night mercial league com- Twelve straight strikes in his first game of the evening as a member of the Factory Direct Furniture team had him and his teammates celebrating HI finally did it” Smith said last week “I've been bowling since 1 was “I've thrown 10 (strikes) in a row three or four times but I've never been able to get the 11th frame That's been my killer I don’t think I’ve thrown a good shot in the 1 1th until that Tuesday" The 11th frame almost got him again It got pretty been trying to shoot for big brothfinally did it" Mike said "It was a good feeling It's still hard to believe Until I get the ring on my finger saying I had a 300 h probably won't sink in" Mike said his wife Mikall has been looking forward to him getting his 300 ring Since Greg and an uncle in Washington have thrown 300s that had been on his mind a lot Mike grew up in Hyrum and now lives in Logan He got into bowling because "the whole family bowls” and it was something to do on a Saturday He liked other sports but a lot of the opportunities children have today with Junior Jazz quiet I knew that would happen You my brother grabbed me before I even had a chance basketball and youth soccer leagues weren't around "Once I started to become a good bowler that kept me in it" Smith said "Once I left the junior leagues when I was 18 and started bowling in the men's leagues I started taking it seriously and e wanted to become a bowler" Smith even admitted that he watches to yell" His brother and teammate Greg
