quartet quart ert started driven by the lusty Fit strokes rokes of the guide and the camp pro krietor the canoe n m as not long in over taking the annual animal who was making frantic efforts to escape across the lake upon reaching him bim dyer who was in the bow seiz d the moose by the horns and the fun begin it was at this point that the most remarkable occurrence happened the party was a better look at the big moose crowded forward into the bow of the f frail rail craft it nearly swamped the bow coming perilously near going dundei how mr berdeen got over the three people and resting himself on the moose held up the canoe no one can tell but he did and for a mile and a half the big animal towed the tour four peo poo pie in the canoe while the two con com moose swam alongside all this time too the bow of the craft was being kept up by mr berdeen who was sup porting it one the moose s back when the party had travelled as far as it wished and the moose was puff ing and blowing at a reat rate he was released and the four occupants of the canoe said that it was a sight worth going miles to see the way that moose even in his winded condition humped himself ind made the w water
