Show LOCATION OF CARNEGIE LIBRARY A movement has been started by a number ot of citizens of the city who are interested in the beautifying of the vacant city parks to get the Library commission to have the new carnegie library erected on the city square on forest street between second and third west streets it is argued by these enthusiasts that that particular location is ina in a quiet part of the city and yet is on one of 0 the main thoroughfares where every visitor entering brigham over either of the railroads must pass it and will therefore see the building it is also contended that by placing the library on that square that particular piece of city property will be improved and beautified and there is in more ore room for both building and grounds than could be secured on the plot north of tile court house the matter may come came up to tile the commission or the city council which ever body has the authority to designate the location of the library in the form of a petition in the very near future some of the present city administration are in favor of the newly proposed location |
