WILL NOT INTERFERE COLORADO STRIKERS APPEAL TO PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT are informed that under present cond t ons he has no power no nor right to interfere in the struggle president roosevelt again on mon day declined to interfere in the strike coalitions in the telluride Tel lunde district of colorado ol orado he will not go so tar far eien eten at this time as to order an in tiou into the conditions an appeal from the western feder atlon of miners was presented to the president monday by senators teller and patterson of colorado urging him to exercise federal authority in bring ing about an adjustment of the situa tion which has arisen between the miners and the authorities of the state of colorado in answer to the appeal made by the miners the president states that under present conditions he has neither power nor the right to act in the premises
