MUST USE ENGLISH LANGUAGE albany judge sets precedent in rul rut ing in naturalization case judge clifford D gregory in the county court at albany N Y la in rejecting sixty applicants for natural fration papers established a precedent by making the following declaration I 1 will not naturalize any person who comes before me and Is unable to speak the english language sum clentry make himself understood I 1 will compel them to answer questions regarding their age place of nativity when they arrived in the united unit ed states and any other questions which I 1 deem essential to good citizenship and if they fall fail to make saias satisfactory factory answers I 1 will refuse to grant them the necessary papers when a man has been in this coun try five years and Is unable to talk our language in my opinion he Is not fit to be admitted to citizenship and I 1 will aci accordingly
