Just because we live in a small town that is no reason for any of us to let our guard down we need to watch our kids and educate them to protect them. We do have one advantage living in a‘ small town we know a lot of the kids Most people think that because around us and throughout the town, we live in a small town no one would ever steal a child here, but what most so watch out for them too if you see them talking to someone you don't think they should be don't be afraid people don't understand is that we are approximately only 4 hours from Salt Lake and Las Vegas, and if you don't know where your children are someone could take your kids and be ina large city before you even knew they were gone. If someone is sick enough to steal a child for any reason why wouldn't they drive 2, 4, 6 or more hours to steal a child from anywhere. Every child needs to be educated about strangers no matter what the age, because what you don't talk to them about, they won't know and they may be hurt because of it. Most children that are kidnaped’ these days are not kidnaped for ransom or because someone wants or needs a child they are usually kidnaped because the perpetrator to question them about it. If the person is really there because they are suppose to be they will have no problem with you asking. Actually they should feel relieved that you are watching out for the children. The West Beaver County Victim Advocates have been putting signs around town and in many business's. So please read them. They can be very helpful in protecting your family. If you need any more information contact the West Beaver County Victim Advocates through the Beaver County Sheriffs Office at (435) 387-2758.
