Manly, Executive Vice of Smithfield Foods, Inc., moved up the corporate ladder earlier this month to replace George E. Hamilton, Jr. as President and Chief Operating Officer of Smithfield - Company. Packing Hamilton, who held the position for 24 years, For those of you that I haven't met personally, my name is Robin K. Bradshaw. I am running for the office of beaver County Commissioner. I would like to address a few issues and tell you about myself. "Status quo politics" is part of the reason for the inefficiency of all levels of government. Maybe it is time we all joined together as a county, make a concerted effort to exercise our constitutional rights and elect a candidate that is INVOLVED, EXPERIENCED, ACCESSIBLE, and sincerely INTERESTED in upgrading the quality and streamlining county government. I believe that we all need to be like "gentlemen" and agree to elect the candidate that will represent the entire county and not special interests groups. The Berlin Wall was a barrier between two countries that are now united again. Let's unite our county and work together to promote but protect Beaver County. As for my background and accomplishments, in 1985, I was chosen Farm Bureau's National Outstanding Young Farmer and Rancher. This award is presented to only three young farmers under 30 years of age form the 50 different states. I have — also received an Associate Degree form S. U. S. C. in Agri-Business. I have been Beaver County Farm Bureau President, a Little League Coach for eight years, active member of the LDS Church, Chairman of the Minersville Clean Lakes retired Tax Sale Recorded after a total of 50. — years in the meat packing industry. The company acknowledged Hamilton's accomplishments and credited him for being responsible in a_ large measure for the success which Smithfield Foods has enjoyed over the last two decades and the stature it has reached in the induct~" Shortly after five o'clock Monday afternoon, May 20, Beaver County | Clerk, Paul Barton, signed the tax sale deed on the Immanuel Foundation property. He then delivered it to the Recorder's Office where it was recorded. Elect Robin K. Bradshaw Water Committee, Chairman of the Color Country Rural Conservation and Development - Council in the five county area. I have been on the Beaver City Council, 4 1/2 years, and Chairman of the water department, Co-Chairman of the law enforcement, and a Board Member of Fire District #1. I am involved with the Rescue Truck on freeway accidents, Soil Conservation Supervisor, Fire Chief, and President of Kent's Lake Reservoir Company. In my occupation as a farmer, I have knowledge in the operation of Beaver County Commission equipment. I have operated back hoes, front-end loaders, all kinds of hay equipment, tractors, and etc. I know that equipment is expensive and proper maintenance needs to be done. I have knowledge about budgets on a governmental as well as on a business and a personal level. I have experienced, first hand, that proper planning is essential to reach goals. The Beaver City Pressurized Irrigation System is a prime example. As you can see, I am an experienced and a qualified candidate. It would be my pleasure and privilege to use my background and expertise to serve you as a Beaver County Commissioner. Please let me assure you, that if I am elected to the office of Beaver County Commissioner, I will resign my position as Beaver City Councilman. I will devote my time and energy to Beaver County as a whole.
