Show I Stake Armies Praised The servicemen of this country and the missionaries of the Church are really one army Stake President Vernon L. L Kunz said last Sunday Sunday Sunday Sun Sun- day at the Sunday session of the South Sanpete Stake Conference Conference Conference Con Con- ference held at the Manti Mantl Center Center Center Cen Cen- ter Ward Pres Kunz started his re remarks remarks remarks re- re marks by saying that there were 48 young men and women from this stake presently serving servin in inthe inthe inthe the armed forces of this coun coun- try He noted that he read a report that young men had lost their lives recently in Vietnam while the diplomats have been haggling over what shape the negotiating table would be at the peace talks in Paris He related the experience of speaking at the funeral of a serviceman a few years ago and noted that he had not fully realized what the young man had gone through while we who were living at home were living living living liv liv- ing In in luxury He said that we do not always tell them of our appreciation for what they are doing In our behalf Pres Kunz then talked about the 42 missionaries from this stake who were making sacrifices sacrifices sacrifices sac sac- to preach the gospel to the world He pointed out that these two wo groups are one army and that one without the other could not operate One unit of this army was to preserve freedom freedom free free- dom while the other was to spread the gospel He concluded his remarks by saying that one could go almost anywhere in the world and could very likely find a ayoung ayoung ayoung young man or woman from Manti Mantl Manti Man Man- ti tl Sterling or Ephraim serving serving serving ing in one of these two capa capa- cities Priesthood ordinations approved approved approved ap ap- ap- ap proved at the conference were as follows John Eliason Ellason Manti North Kent A.
