Show 0 ir if t 1 v t I I tY JOHN K OLSEN JOHN K OLSEN RETIRES RETIRE FROM LAND BANK John K Olsen who h has s served for the past 50 years on the board of directors of the Federal Land Bank Association of Richfield Richfield Richfield Rich Rich- field retired this past month bringing to a close a long and active career of service with this organization In April of 1967 at the stockholders stockholders stockholders stock stock- holders annual meeting and the anniversary of the Federal Land Bank held in San Francisco for delegates of the five state area Mr Olsen was one of 16 recipients of a gold goldmedal goldmedal goldmedal medal awarded for outstanding contribution to American agri agri- culture Mr Olsen was distinguished distinguished distinguished distin distin- for having given the longest service in time of anyone in the Berkeley district In addition to his service with the Federal Land Bank John K Olsen has served many years as director and secretary of the Ephraim Irrigation Co His immediate plans include re retirement retirement retirement re- re as secretary of this organization organization organization or or- however he will stay on the board as research man and assistant to the newly appointed appointed appointed ap ap- pointed secretary Mr Olsen has also been connected connected connected con con- with the local and county Farm Bureau and has served on the board of directors of of the Ephraim Ephraim- Pea Canning factory He has been associated in numerous numerous numerous num num- erous and various ways with the advancement of the farming and livestock industries in Sanpete County These activities have held high interest and concern to Mr Olsen since he has engaged in agriculture ture and livestock raising in this area all his life His many friends congratulate him on his his his' fine record of service to American Ameri Ameri- can agriculture |
