In a news release from Great Frontier, a two year old company, it is reported that 2,982 tons of uranium has been mined by the company valued at 8135,515. In the past four months Great Fron-tie- r mined 1,187 tons valued at $37,109. In the recent acquisition move, Great Frontier acquired Caliban Uranium Corp. which has 10 claims in the Duquesne mining area in Utah. Great Frontier plans, according to the report, to be in production on these claims within 60 days. Caliban also lists a school claim lease under its assets. Pay Day Uranium Co. is the second acquisition, according to the report. According to P.. W. Fleming, a consulting geologist from Bluff, Utah, this company has indicated ore of more than 37,000 tons on their Sunshine group of claims in southern Utah. Great Frontier also entered the oil fields with the acquisition of 51 per cent interest in Monte Carlo Uranium Mines, Inc., according to President Ferderer. As part of the transaction, Ferderer said, Great Frontier has provided the financial backing to permit full development of Monte Carlos oil and uranium properties. The Brady oil field in Montana was recently purchased by Monte Carlo. It is now producing steadily from four wells, Ferderer reports, with additional wells plan- - Prof. John E.
