EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS ea In a transaction believed to be the largest involving State of Utah uranium leases, Ladoric Mines Ltd. purchased nearly 20,000 acres from Jesse H. Knight of Calgary, Canada, and Roy L. Tallant of Salt Lake City, both prominent in the petroleum industry. Laurence Hammond, president of Ladoric, announced today the purchase climaxed lengthy negotiations and was concluded in the face of spirited interest by major companies. Leases Far-Flun- g Leases spread throughout San Juan, Grand, Emery, Wayne and Garfield counties in Utah and range through the Green River and Montezuma areas, Hammond reports. The purchase involved substantial cash payments, which have been made, and stock interest in Ladoric, according to Hammond. Immediate addiftonal financing to carry out an exploration campaign is being arranged through Daggett Securities, Inc., Newark, New Jersey, and Justin Steppler of New York City, both investment securities firms. We realize the large investment required for thorough exploration of such a vast area, Hammond added. We are giving serious consideration to proposals for joint ventures which we have received from major mining companies.
