C Erickson Erickson Erick son are entertaining with an open oper house from 3 to 6 pm p.m. on Sunday Sunday Sun day May 21 in honor of their parents' parents Golden Wedding anniversary anniversary anniversary anni anni- at the family home They request no gifts The were married May 23 1917 in the Manti ManU LD Temple They have made their home in Ephraim since then Mr Erickson was born a at Spring City Dec 17 1894 1894 son sor of Emil and Anna Larsen Erick Erickson son He graduated from Snow College where he was outstanding outstanding ing in athletics basketball baseball and track and also took an active part in student affairs He continued activity in baseball as pitcher for the Ephraim Eph Ephraim raim town team for several years He also served one termas term termas as Ephraim City Councilman Counci an Active in Church affairs he 1 was a member of the South S Sanpete Stake High Council for forsight eight sight years bishop of the Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim North Ward for five years a member of the choir for some 25 15 years a Boy Scouts Scout of America Amer Amer- America ica commissioner and he and Mrs Erickson jointly taught Sunday School for 20 20 years He also filled a year two-year M Manti Monti Temple Temple Tem Tem- pl mission as ordinance work work- ers He was was' an automobile meChanic mechanic mech meCh- anic fo for many years and also has has has' engaged in farming I and sheep raising and is still active in the latter latte two Vera Christensen Erickson was born I June 14 1895 in Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim daughter of Andrew and Mary Pehrson Christensen She too graduated from Snow Col College College lege and was prominent in stu stu- student student dent affairs She served 15 years on the South Sanpete Stake Relief Relief Re Re- lief Society board under three different presidents and was herself president for two years She was Relief Society class leader for for- several different periods pen periods pe pe- n and has also been a visiting visiting visit visit- ing teacher many many years b being g still active in that work She was at the first organization meeting of the Fort Ephraim Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pioneers Pioneers Pio Pio- and was chosen the Camps Camp's first vice She has been an active member of the organization since that time She has long been a member of the Ladies Literary Club and served on the Ephraim Public Library board for 25 years years She served ten summers as a guide on Manti ManU Temple Hill She has been awarded a life membership in n the PTA The are the parents of three sons The o 0 oldest l Ide d e s t Keith died from accidental burns bums not long after completing an Mission and soon after being married The other sons are Robert of Salt Lake City and Clair Bud of Ephraim They have eight grandchildren |
