As years, Kingfish mellowed out and forsook her pugilistic encounters. She became more aware of her environment and now her favorite pastime is romping through the mountains with her buddy Ruby. The children, all from the Kenneth Kummer family, are Kenneth, Christine, and Kay. For their Rock self-determin- ed and Mineral display, all the children won blue ribbons. Individually, Kenneth won a blue ribbon for his head lettuce, Christine won a red ribbon for an upholstered chair, and Kay won a blue ribbon for her marigolds and nasturtiums. A four yard run by quarterback Pat Pirraglio and a five yard offside penalty against North Summit made it 3rd and 1 1 at the 39. But a quarterback sneak failed to penetrate the Brave line and P.C. was forced to punt. Pirraglios kick was returned 10 yards to the fifty by Bryant Stevens. On 1st down, a 36 yard pass play from Brave quarterback Doug Porter to end Jeff Curtis put the ball at Park Citys 14. Stevens then romped into the end zone for the first of many North Summit touchdowns. The conversion attempt failed, but the Braves were ahead 0 with only three minutes expired in the game. 6-- f- kThis weeks canine is Kingfish, a part black labrador and part German shorthair who belongs to Chris Geer. Kingfish, who more might be called Queenfish in that shes a she, is one of Park City oldest canine residents. Handed down among five different owners, Kingfish was born in our fair town The North Summit Braves rampaged over an outclassed Park City High football team on Friday night, September 20th. and posted a lopsided 65-- win. The Braves scored early and often as they ran through and passed over the Miner defense. Park Citys offensive line was unable to handle the large and aggressive North Summit defen-der- s and the result was a nonexistent Miner attack. Porter dove over for the TD, but the conversion failed, attempt fringing the score to 26 0. A Good Break But... Moving backward from their own 30, Park City assumed the familiar punting formation. At this point, it was bad news, good news, and then had news . Pirraglios punt was blocked and recovered in the end zone by North Summit for a touchdown. Bad news. But a penalty against the Braves for having too many men on the field nullified the score and gave the Miners a first down. Good news. Making no progress, Pirraglio once again dropped back to kick. A bad snap precluded getting the ball away and Park City's would-b- e punter was tackled on his own 24. Bad news. The rest was academic. Running in from the 4, Stevens made it 32-- but Park City stopped still another extra point try. The Miners did manage to Summit 41 drive to the North during their next possession but the timekeeper's gun terminated the push. 0, North Summit's coach, Earl Interception Pirraglio returned North Summits kickoff to his own 38. On first down, the Miners tried to mix up the opposition with a screen pass. Unfortunately, the only ones who seemed to be confused were the Miners. Curtis intercepted the errant toss and converted it into 6 points for the Braves. Park Citys great success thwarting extra point tries was tarnished as North Summit ran the ball to make it 20--0 with 1:38 still remaining in the first quarter. Blonquist, persisted in playing his first string for large segments of contest. As a result, the Braves continued to pour it on . A 29 yard scoring run by Stevens, a 15 yard TD scamper by Michael Judd, and an 80 yard drive boosted the one-side- d margin to the final 65-- 0 tally. Showing no mercy, North Summit attempted to kick a field goal in the closing seconds of the contest. Hope for Next Week who was also Dugway, thrashed by North Summit, is the Miners next opponent.
