That same day, the Park City West Ski Team rounded up their season by hosting an Intermountain Division race, held on the Flapjack run. This was the last scheduled sanctioned USSA race for the experts this season. all-cla- ss Although the racing season is over for the Park City West Ski Team members, the work for the season has yet to who competes a racer For begin. only five months of the year, the spring and summer are an important part of a training schedule. up-comi- ng During the spring and summer months it is very important to keep physically as well as mentally fit. Hie main objective for a late spring camp is to work on basic techniques and establish a good sound time. It is very important to one's skiing to better himself and concentrate on correcting mistakes he or she might have had during the past season. Through this procedure we can theoretically start off fresh for the season. Physical, training is, of course, in up-comi- PAM AND DEANS CASTLE mans home is his castle. Though this adage was not A originated by Dean Morgan, it could certainly serve as his architectural philosophy. Pam and Dean Morgan reside at 4 Claimjumper Court in a house. Sitspacious twenty-rooon one of ting quarter an acre of land and containing 3,300 square feet of living space, the Morgan home, though not fully furnished as yet, is impressive for a number of reasons. The design of the house is a modification of a floor plan found in a magazine. By incorporating struction backgrounds. Dean enjoyed building his house to such a degree that he forsook a job in .the GPCCs accounting department to become a general contractor. m THE MORGANS great demand for anyone Not resting on his laurels as a home builder, Dean also has made much of the furniture and most of the wall decorations in his house. His current project is the creation of lion beds and elephant dressers for his son Aaron, age three, and his daughter Amy, age two. Especially conducive to this atmosphere is the light and shadow contrasts produced by the numerous windows of various sizes. The most amazing aspect of the house, however, is not the size or the design but rather the fact that it was completed in nine months and that it was built by Mr. Morgan in his spare time. Could hold multiple units etr 3 3 The Park City West Ski Team had a year to be proud of, with a berth on the 1974 American Junior National Alpine Team at Vail, Colorado. The team also captured many trophies throughout the year to make the trophy case look pretty good! They will be working hard this summer to ensure being winners again next season. (Contributed by Park West) 11 am to 8 pm o o C ee PWQ o o Condominiums: During the summer months, most of the Park City West Ski Team members will be attending some of the various summer camps that are held in the Far West, Canada, and South America. Bob Marsh, who is presently coaching the Park City West Ski Team, will be coaching at Mt. Robertson, a large glacier in Banff, Alberta, during the month of June. The camp is open to any team members who would like to attend a summer training camp and to any other interested skiers who also have the desire to learn. The camp offers a few extracurricular activities such as bike riding, hiking, swimming, mountaineering and climbing hike to lessons, and a three-da-y Jasper. In addition to regular ski training, the group will also get to ski the famous Columbia Ice Fields. The team feels that by organizing their own camp, they can save quite a bit of money, while, at the same time, maintain a high standard of training in an excellent training environment.
