The test program began this Wednesday and will run for the next year. Verdoon, Chief, Equipment Pool Branch, has been named project officer for the program. Lt. Colonel Harry J. Ledbetter will monitor the project. The objective of the project will lie to determine if there is any trend type problems encountered by the use of the unleaded gas. DURINGTHE program Equipment Pool personnel will keep accurate records of such items as gallons used and gas mileage vehicles are getting on the gas. Meanwhile Motor Maintenance Branch personnel will conduct many additional checks on the engine parts of the vehicles. Personnel who use vehicles for trips will lie told to attempt to buy unleaded gas luring the program.
