Following her marriage to Carol Madsen she taught one year at Ibapah. She resumed her teaching career several years later when her husband was called into military service with the Utah National Guard in 1941 when die took his place as a fifth grade teacher at Mt. Pleas- where she taught until 1950. Following the birth of her child die did not teach again until 1956 when die taught the fifth grade class at Mt. Pleasant. She then accepted a teaching position at the Vernon, Utah, school Mrs. Madsen stated, This was a unique experience as it was a two-rooschool and I taught first, second and third grade.
