Many fine entries have been judged this year, and the DCWC wishes to thank all students who put in an entry, the teachers who have supported this contest, and the judges who gave their time and talents to. determine award winners. A school awards assembly wis held at the Elementary school on Monday, May 22, and prizes and certificates awarded to winners by Helen Rees, President, and Kathy Bilton, of the DCWC. There were three judges for each grade category, and all identification of authors was removed before the stories and poems were turned over for judging. Winners received framed certificates and books which had been especially chosen for their age groups. Honorable Mention winners received certificates. Winners are listed as follows: Stories: second grade - first Robyn Rollins; second place, Coy Lynn Jensen, honorable mention, Melissa Stout, Storwold and Kelley Daryl Stevens.
