A young first voter, a Rose Park housewife and a widow were the,happy winners at the Republican Round Robin Reception for West-Sid- e residents last Saturday night in Rose Park. Some people attended. Winner of the Dawson flag was Wayne Hardman, a native of Kamas who lives in an apartment at 584 Center Street. Hes registered in the 13th District in Salt Lake City and will be voting for thff first time this year. Winner of the Watkins flag was Mrs. K. Maesar Mills (Lucille) of 866 American Beauty Drive. The Mills family boasts 5 sons, two of whom are married and of voting 70-year-- The man long famous on KSL with his Speriy, Sperry Good Morning, makes a bid this year for the office of County Treasurer Jim is o genuine person, genuinely interested in people. He is well qualified for the office by reason of having spent the past two years as assistant to the State Auditor. He left broadcasting two years ago because his experience as a newscaster had given him a keen interest in government and this he would like to further in the "performance spot where he can really do good. Prior to the building of Rose Park, the Mills family lived in the 29th Ward on Marion Street This is the first time theyve owned a flag. Lucille is now President of the Rose Park Third Ward Relief Society, and has been active in M.I.A. and P.T.A. Winner of the $25 bond donated by Polly Celle was Mrs. Anne D. Miller, 768 North Redwood Road. Mrs. Miller is a widow and lives on a pension from her late husband. Her father, Albert Davis was the first bishop of Center Ward.
