Dirksen to Brigham Young University. The rally was a tremendous success and those YRs should be dommended for their fine job. BYU Young Republicans have also been helping to canvas the entire Utah County for first voters. The fob has been completed thanks to those student workers. Senator Arthur V. Watkins addressed citizens in Tooele under the sponsorship of the Young Republicans recently. He also spoke to groups in Duchesne County Oct. 31, arranged by the senior party and the YRs m that area. Duchesne County held a successful rally, for their county candidates during the past week with Young Republicans demonstrating their drive and initiative in action and leadership. Weber County is deep in busy work getting out first voters. They've pushed hard to reach everyone and have come up with record making results. First Voters open house was held Oct. 23 in Spanish Fork with Mrs. Madge Fairbanks representing the state committee. American Fork was scene of another first voters open house Nov. 1. Young Republicans in these areas did an outstanding job to put over these functions. The exciting rally staged for Senator Dirksen at the Newhouse Hotel was due to the hard work put forth by the county workers. Davis County YRs were responsible for the refreshments and the girls who helped to circulate publicity and party information. State committee members attending the rally included Dean Holbrook, Shirley Novack and Madge Fairbanks. Audrey James, Salt Lake County was also present Theres loads of activity around Westminster College in the Young Republican ranks. Keep up the good work. Utah State University has organized and have elected officers. Howard Hall heads the group as chairman with Donna Ben- son as and June Neiderhauser as secretary. Their first meeting was to sponsor Secretary Ezra Benson Oct 29 on campus which was a huge success. Dont forget YRs.
