L JANUARY 20 ,fA Weekly Newspaper Devoted to G' v Government : V-- ' 2k f United States Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona, colorful and youthful chairman of die Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, will be the speaker at die "Salute to Eisenhower" dinner in Salt Lake City, January 20, George R. Putnam, dinner chairman, announced today. 23 ,1958' .V Mr. Putnam said Senator Goldwater is one of the most qualified and personable speakers in the Senate and Utah Republicans are indeed fortunate that he has accepted the invitation to speak. Senator Goldwater bears a heavy responsibility as chairman of the GOP senatorial campaign committee. Senator Goldwater is a member of the Labor and Public Welfare, and Interior and Insular Affairs Committees of the Senate. A Colonel in the Air Force Reserves, Senator Goldwater served with the Air Force from 1941 to 1945. He is a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masons, Elks, Eastern Star, Alianza, Woodmen w half-hou- of the World and Sigma Chi fraternity.
