Lyle ia the son of Mr. and Mr. Richard Jenk, and Oxxie' parent are Mr. and Mr. Haskell Chapooae, both of Fort Duchesne. 4-- H all-arou- nd Irene Cuch named to Medical Board Toys Aid Childs Early Education Early Childhood Education Program will be available this fall to students enrolled in the Ute Tribe Head Educational toys and Start program. will be distrimaterials special reading buted on a loan basis through lending libraries. Special instruction will be provided weekly at each Head Start center for parents on how to use the toys and materials in the home. The program is being developed in cooperation with the Ute Head Start and Day Care, Uintah and Duchesne School Districts, and the Uintah Basin Education Council. The Uintah Basin Education A new Committee Council and various parents also are being involved in planning and development of the program. Funding will be provided from Title III E.S.E.A. and Johnson OMalley. Quinn named new CAMPS Director A new program is being inflated on the U & O Reservation with Mike Quinn moving up as director. Cooperative Area Manpower Planning System (CAMPS) is a recent grant to the Ute Tribe under the direction of the Business Committee. The grant was made out of the Denver Regional Office of the Department of Labor. Primary purpose of the program is to assist in Manpower planning and in the CAMPS will also assist in program. the programing of Neighborhood Youth Corps, Operation Mainstream, Mainpower Development and Training ACT (MDTA), and National Alliance of Businessmen (NAPS). Mr. Quinn, the new director, has been employed by the tribe for eight months PRETTY RED WING Inspired costume worn by Todd Elementary School Kindergarten Mtudents for a program which concluded the school year. Norma Denver and Daisy Jenk assisted with the Indian portion of the program which included the singing of Red Wing" and "I Walk In Beauty." Mr. Mary Burgess (right), teacher, and her aid, Mrs. Clarice Chapoose, taught the dance performed for Head Start and Day Care enrollees and parent of the Kindergarten students. Costumes were made by parents from pattern supplied by Mrs. Burgess. Irene Cuch is among the 10 newly appointed members to IRMP, a federally funded program designed to improve the quality and accessibility of health care throughout the Intermountaln Region. The University of Utah is the grantee institution and the Regional Advisory Groups serves as the Board of Directors of the program regarding policy decisions and budget allocations An invitation to serve on the Advisory Group was extended to Mrs. Cuch by Alfred C.
