However, Monty Gibson told the Park City Council last week he has no plans for demolishing the building and hopes to make arrangements for its relocation in the near future. Gibson wants to donate the building to the city, but city officials say it will take at least a year to acquire property for the structure. Gibson, who would like to begin construction of his project this summer, filed for the demolition permit in hopes of stirring a reaction from government officials there. Gibson also told the Park City officials he was willing to warehouse the disassembled hospital until the city could decide where they wanted the 1903 structure to go. Gibson said he is willing to foot the $137,000 bill for relocation of the hospital, and is negotiating with the city in hopes they will underwrite the relocation. The hospital is currently a dormitory for winter skiers, and Gibsons Salt Lake attorney Alan Walcher said the facility as it is now used is i losing proposition.
