Gaines, director of airports for the Salt Lake City Airport Authority, has been elected to a three-yea- r term as a member of the board of directors of the Airport Operators Council International. Gaines has served for the past year as chairman of AOCI's Airport Security Committee. He was appointed to his present position in April, 1976, after five and half years as deputy director of airports in Sacramento. Calif. Bruce V. Robertson has been promoted to vice president, marketing, and named manager of the MSI Television Division of Com Tel Inc. Robertson has served as engineering manager for the In company since 1972. addition to assuming his new resposibilities in sales and marketing. Robertson will remain in charge of engineering and customer service until successor is named. Robert E. Wassom, Jr. has joined Harris & Love, Inc. a as an account executive for the Salt Lake City ad agency. Wassom was formerly advertising manager for the Tooele TranscriptBulletin. Prior to that time, he was associated with Nord advertising Associates as print media director. FMA Financial Corpora- tion 21 OCTOBER 12, 1977 has announced promoted to regional sales manager of FMA Leasing. He will direct leasing sales in the Northern Utah and Idaho region. Jeff Johnson is the new FMA auto leasing sales manager at the Salt Lake City office. J.D. Gordon has been named the Provo district sales manager. He will direct sales in the central and southern Utah and western Colorado district. James Lyman has been appointed sales representa- tive for FMA Auto Leasing Salt Lake division. Gordon the following personnel appointments and promotions: Randy Luke has been anythin; Buchanan Judd Ohumukini Last years farm income higher but still lagging Preliminary estimates place 1976 total net farm income for Utah at $68.1 million 22 percent above 1975 but 16 percent below 1974 and only half of the 1973 record high, reports the Utah Crop and Livestock Reporting Service, U.S.D.A. Expenses Increased Cash receipts from sales of crops and livestock totaled $359.3 million in 1976 compared with $329.7 million in 1975 and 320.1 million in 1974. When government payments, y income and other farm income are included, non-mone- total realized gross farm income amounted to $406.2 million compared with $366.7 million in 1975 and $355.1 in 1974. Farm production expenses have shown a steady increase and at $330.9 million in 1976 were 7 percent above 1975, 14 percent above 1974, and 35 percent above 1973. The service said cash receipts during 1976 increased 12 percent from a year earlier for livestock and livestock products but only 2 percent lor crops. Receipts increased for all livestock and livestock products except sheep, turkeys, and honey and beeswax while receipts from sale of crops wrerc low er except for hay and fruits.
