For the week ending Aug. 12, total sales in the Salt Lake area were $11.77 million, compared to the previous weeks $10.77 million. The latest weeks total is $916,830 above the previous high, which was set in the week ended June 24, when total real estate volume came to $10.86 million. All categories of real estate shared credit for the rise. Residential single family units finished at $10.06 million, slightly below the previous high recorded for that category which was set in the week ended July 22, when the figure reached $10.2 million. There were 236 units sold during the latest week. Twelve multiple dwelling units were sold for a total of $852,905. This total was up from the previous weeks nine units which sold for $500,000. Commercial property transactions were reported at $487,504 for seven units, versus three units and $161,500 in sales for the preceding week. ATTENTION: MINING CLAIM OWNERS!
