Show TEST RUN, Dueway Proving Ground, Friday, January 14, J966 HOUSEHOLD Dugway Teachers MR. AND Mrs. Kenneth Bearden are teaching at Dugway High School. This is their second year. Mr. Bearden teaches math and coaches the football team. He is assistant basketball, basetwll, and golf coach. Mrs. Bearden teaches physical education and journalism and is sponsor of die year book and die pep club. Mr. and Mrs. Bearden graduated from the University of Utah. They both have a dual certificate in Education (elementary and secondary). The Beardens have two sons, Kelly is a Junior and Vice President of the studentbody and a member of the varsity basketball team. Main Barbara Cerrard . REG. JR. December was a busy month for the Womens Chib of the Officers Open Mew. The monthly coffee was held at the OOM on Dec. 7 with Mrs. Charles Anderson and Mrs. Theodore Held as hostesses. Music was provided for members of the higfi school band. President Mrs. William Harmon presented Mr. Robert Dobson, director of foe band with a check to help defray foe coat of foe new uniforms. The Womens Club met again on Dec. 13 fire a luncheon and meeting Mrs. Ceorge Cabrey, Mrs. Henry Clemente, and Mrs. Curtis Jones planned the Christmas table decorations. The main feature of the program was a winter style show with clothes provided by The Style Shop of Tooele. Modeling tire fashions were Mrs. Victor. Lidner, Mrs. William Standeffer, Mrs. Emerico Martinez, Mrs. John Bowman, Mrs. Theodore Heid, and Mrs. Thomas Roseberry. 1968 is already off to a good start with the Womens Chib; on Jan. 4 Mrs. John Bowman and Mrs. Charles Bufo presided at foe punch bowl and silver service at the monthly coffee. Color photographs of the Dugway area were on exhibit. The club met again on Jan. 10 fire the first luncheon of the new year. Mrs. Henry Whitaker reviewed the book I Paris Burning? Effective 29 September 1965 each member on active duty wu automatically insured against death for $10,000. If you entered on active duty after this date, you are automatically insured for $10,000 from the first day of such duty. You may elect not to be insured or to be insured for $5000. If you do so, the effective date of this change will be foe first day of foe month following the date on which you complete DA Form 3054 (Elections of Amount, Beneficiary Designation and Settlements Option for Servicemens Group life Insurance) and submit it to the custodian of your personnel records. This group life insurance is in addition to any other benefits payable in event of death including National Service life Insurance and UA Government Life Insurance. A premium charge of $2 a month will be deducted from your pay for $10,000 (nsurance of $1 a month if you elect $5,000 insurance. Premiums are not prorated; a full monthly premium will be deducted from your pay each month including foe month you are separated or released from active duty. If you are AWOL for more than 31 days, foe insurance is terminated as of the first day of the absence. Upon return to active duty, you may elect foe amount of coverage you desire. Ibis election must be in writing and proof of good health is required. Premiums will be deducted from your period of abpay for foe sence. You may designate any person or persons as beneficiary (ies) to receive payment in foe event of death. The insurance will continue without charge far 120 days after your separation or release from active duty. After separation, you may obtain from the Veterans Administration a list of eligible commercial life insurance companies which will insure you, without a medical examination or evidence of good health, in on amount equal to, or less than, the amount of your insurance coverage while on active duty. The application must be submitted prior to 120 days after separation. Mrs. Bearden IS Miss Toones third year teaching at the Dugway High School. She teaches Home Economics and German. She is originally from Utah and also received her education in this state. She graduated in 1960 from BYU.
