I would like for you to tell me how this company is doing. I also bought 1 0.000 shares of Continental Dynamics. Is this a good company. Manuel Boliva. Union City. Calif. Securities, Inc; I Dear Mr. Boliva: UN! REX is quoted a l Ilk bid and 2lk ask. I do not understand your letter. Did you buy the stock direct from the company or through a broker? You should contact the person who sold you the stock in order to find out why you never got your shares. Ihc reason you do not get information from the company might be because they do not show you as a shareholder. Continental Dynamics is headed by an agrcssive businessman and if his current plans work out. you might very well see the stock return to its iWtS highs. There is no doubt . however, that there is a great deal of risk with this type of issue. Dear Mr. Blackburn: My grandfather (a retired miner) left me some stocks. However I have tried to find out how much they are worth and all the stock brokers I have talked to tell me that these stocks were trading in the early 1900's and today they are worthless. I'm now trying to find out if they are worthless or if the name has been changed or if the stock was ever listed somewhere (Los Angeles San Francisco). I would like to know if somebody, somewhere keeps a record of these old mining stocks. If you would like to put my question in your column, it's ok but please don't use my name. I hope you may be able to help me either in your column or by letter. Thanks. -- Dear Sir: There is only one thing more exciting than finding a gold mine-o- ne find you. Nothing can be as thrilling as receiving a bundle of unexpected cash from some forgotten cache. This is the prospect facing many missing stockholders in the United States and Canada. Theyre the object of a search now being undertaken by Tracers Company of America, a New York based organization which has specialized, since 1924, in finding all sorts of lost ' people. Among the thousands of cases they are now handling to find husbands, wives, relatives, heirs and others. Tracers Company was recently assigned, by leading corporations, to search for these missing stockholders or their legal heirs. Over $30 million is waiting for them. Individual sums range from a high of $20,000 down to a few dollars. These dormant funds have been lying idle and unclaimed for many years in the hands of banks, corporations, trustees, executors and receivers. The greater portion represents the redemmable value of old stock certificates which have been forgotten or considered valueless by their rightful owners. Some of these funds are in the form of unclaimed stock dividends. If any of the owners are deceased, the assets will be paid to their heirs. of corporations has a curious way of the stockholders. Firms merge , consolidate, notice of escaping reorganize, change their names and even their main business interest. Often, such old securities remain in the hands of the owners or their relatives who do not know that the stocks or bonds still have a real value. 337 So.
