PETERSON Leona Thomas, Smithfield, takes pleasure in announcing the coming marriage of her daughter Debra Ann Thomas Kendrick to Gary B. Peterson, son of Miles and Betty Peterson, Logan. They will' be married at the home of the groom Friday, Dec. 2. Debbie is a 1971 graduate of Sky View High School and is presently employed at Marv's Cafe. Gary is a 1969 graduate of Logan High School and is presently employed with no-ho- for the men and Colonel Reese told them what they could imurove on. Garth was born on May 4, 1956 and Lori was born on May 5 in the same hospital. Nineteen years later, on August 18 at the urging of friends attending Utah State, Lori wrote to Garth, then serving in the California Oakland Mission, and the die was cast. They were married on August 19, 1977. Lori attended Weber State College for 3V4 years, majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in music and geography. While a member of the Ogden LDS Institute of Religion, she toured with the institutes Mens and Women's chorus in 1976 and 1977 as accompanist The 1976 tour, part of the Bicentennial celebration, included such cities as Chicago, Valley Forge and Topeka and climaxed with a performance of patriotic music on the steps of the capital in Washington, D.C. attended by Utahs senators and congressmen. Since her marriage Lori has been called to share her music with the Cornish Ward as ward organist. She also serves as a Junior Sunday School Teacher. She loves to sew, making many of her own clothes, and to do handwork such as emboidery and crochet The crocheted bedspread which comprises her current project will be for her grandchildren she says, if it is ready by then. Freeze. When frozen, take out of trays and mix well, then freeze again. Repeat at least two more times. 1 qt The following recipe Is actually a bar cookie even though it is called a pie. SODA CRACKER PIE cup coarse soda crackers 3 egg whites 1 cup nuts 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon vanilla Beat egg whites until still but not dry. Add sugar and beat again. Add other ingredients. Pour into greased dripper. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. 1 BARBEQUED HAMBURGER PATTIES large onion quart tomato juice 1 tablespoon prepared mustard Vt cup Worchestershire sauce 2 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons vinegar 2 tablespoons butter 1 can tomato sauce i garlic salt salt pepper Brown hamburger made into patties. Combine rest of ingredients and pour over patties. Simmer until done. Save the sauce and use as a spaghetti sauce the next day, just add a little more browned hamburger. 1 1 SENIOR CITIZENS OF CACHE COUNTY ROCK CLUB President Lois McAdams conducted the ROCK club at the Senior Citizens Center. She also welcomed everyone and introduced the visitors. The new recreation center has been approved to hold the ROCK Show, April 28, 29, 30, 1978. On Dec. 2, dinner will be served at noon and at 2:30 p.m. Frank Baugh is arranging a Christmas Program. Blood pressure will be taken from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m. Dance - 8 to 10:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4 the center will be closed. Dec. 5 Dinner at noon followed by games, crafts, quilting, etc. - Shuffleboard Dec. 6 played after the noon meal. Make a batch of your favorite biscuit dough and roll out to y inch thickness. Spread hamburger mixture on dough. Roll up dough like a jelly roll and cut into one inch slices. Put slices on a greased cookie sheet and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. While these are cooking, heat 1 can tomato soup, 1 can milk, 1 cup grated cheese. Heat until cheese is melted. Spoon over baked hamburger rolls for a delicious meal.
