Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dent of Salt Lake City were speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday in the Lewiston Second Ward. Following the regular meeting a Fireside was held in the Relief Society room. Mrs. Dent who works on the food storage program at the LDS Church Offices in Salt Lake City, discussed items and methods for food storage with the audience. She advised storage of those things that families actually use and are accustomed to using. Recognized The La Femme club met at the home of Vesta Hansen Thursday with President Margaret Sorenson welcoming everyone and conducting. the mission field in California. She was gone 18 months. Luncheon was served to members, Margaret Sorenson, Morva Karen, Leone returned missionary, gan, Reta Spackman, Lucy. Cooper and Wilda Taggart. Also guests Jennie West and Beatrice Thornley. Those who exhi4-- H Family Holds Reunion Members of the Ludvig E. Larsen family held their reunion at the Lions Lodge on Saturday, Sept. 11 with dinner being served at 1:00 o'clock. Those in charge were Mr. and Mrs. Veryl Larsen, Pocatello, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Ershel Larsen, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Matkin and Verna Bell of Swan Lake, Idaho; and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lloyd of Blackfoot, Idaho. Some 65 members were present and enjoyed a happy day of visiting and entertainment. The door prize was won by Jack Wheeler of Ogden. A beautiful afghan, made by Leona Larsen of Idaho Falls, was won by Leon West of Smithfield. A bazaar was held with proceeds being used to finance the reunion and genealogy work of the family under direction of Cora Hogan. Family record sheets were presented to the families. The children enjoyed picking the leaves from the Money Tree" where many leaves contained money prizes. The 1977 reunion will be held at the lodge in September with the Smithfield families in charge of arrangements. Three of the L.E. There they visited with Mrs. LaRue Campbell, a sister of Mr. Rawlings. The group took a 300 mile loop trip through the Sawtooth Mountains which included a stop at Sun Valley. The Barlows declare that of all the scenery they observed on their drive, nothing could compare with the autumn beauty of Sardine Canyon. tsp. nutmeg 2 cups flour cup nuts (chopped) tsp. soda tsp. vanilla Cook raisins in water a few minutes. Drain and save 9k cup of the liquid. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg. Add the 9k cup liquid from raisins to which the soda has been added. Mix well with flour, raisins and nuts, spices and vanilla. Spread on a greased cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
