Remove cover and cook to 254 degrees (firm but not hard ball in cold water). In large mixer bowl place and beat 2 egg whites until rather stiff and glossy. Pour cooked syrup over whites in a fine stream while beating vigorously. Do not scrape pan. Remove beaters and begin stirring with wooden spoon. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. (I like to add 2 drops of red coloring). When candy is thick and creamy and begins to hold shape add walnuts. Drop from spoon onto wax paper. The secret of good divinity? Keep the batch hot CHERRY RING SALAD (Yummy) 1 z. 2 Vi 1 z. cherry flavor gelatin packages cream cheese pkg. cup finely chopped walnuts can pitted bing cherries (drained) Early in day or day before serving: Prepare gelatin 17-o- z. as label directs but use only 31k cups water; refrigerate until cool. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, combine cream cheese and walnuts; with hands, shape by teaspoonfuls into balls; set aside. Spoon 3 to 4 tablespoons gelatin into a 6 cup ring mold; alternately arrange about half cheese balls and cherries in gelatin in ring mold. Chill until almost firm. Spoon enough gelatin to cover balls. Refrigerate again; spoon remaining gelatin and arrange remaining cheese balls and cherries cm top. Refrigerate. Unmold to serve. 8 to 10 servings. If you prefer, use a dripper pan in place of mold. Pour in gelatin, set a little while then arrange cherries and cheese balls alternately. Mrs. Sheen reports she caught the biggest fish, a trout, almost six pounds. Elder Dan Brown, son of Joan and Rex Brown, has arrived home from an IDS to Bolivia, South America. He flew home and his parents met him at the Salt Lake Airport - He spoke in the Sixth Ward Sacrament meeting Sunday and reported his mission. She golfs, both are members of the Kiwanis Club, she belongs to a birthday club, the civic club, the Amalga Club and does lots of things with music. She has been a music teacher and has given piano lessons. They are proud of their 16 grandchildren.
