Thornley and sons, Alan, Tedd, and Jon. She was gone the weekend. He was a missionary companion, Roger Goodwin, originally- from Missouri, now employed in Ogden. He and Kent served in the Guada-mala-Salvador Mission in Central America. He liked the ward. Kent is living at home and attends school at USU. visiting. They visited friends, Ellen and John Blauer, who live in a Victorian ld mansion. They shopped and ate in their favorite restaurants. They saw Fishermans Wharf and the cable cars, etc., and attended church. They then flew to Dallas, Texas, where Bette and Lyle shopped for accessories and appliances for their new home, afterwhich they flew home. They wore gone one week. They are LaDawn, married to Paul Miner, living in Missouri; Henry Jr., mar ried to Linda, living in Whitney, Idaho; Helen, married to Brian Wilberg and living in Ogden; Glen, married to Becky. They have one daughter and live in New Mexico where he is in the Air Force; Marie, married to Craig Memmott, Salt Lake City. They all have families. There is also recently married Dean and Patty Egbert living in Richmond. Tuesday the Fourth Ward held their Relief Society conference with President Eloise Meyer conducting. Visitors were John Heggie, of the stake presidency, and I airy Lower, high council -- man. Also present was Bishop Noble Erickson and Second Counselor Gene Esplin. From the stake Relief Society were Vera Pinson, Kathryn Rasmussen, and June Budge. Margaret Hebdon offered the prayer. Speakers were Mrs. Pinson on spirituality in the home by attending Relief Society and Mr. Lower spoke on drugs. The Relief Society chorus sang, Lift Thine eyes to the Mountains. June Budge spoke on attendance and gaining spirituality in Relief Society. Bishop Erickson spoke on the need of a new standard of spirituality. Mr. Heggie told of how outside influence is getting into our standards. Parents are asked to check TV, etc. President Meyer expressed appreciation to the Relief Society women, the stake board and the bishopric.
