Show Young Adults Enjoy Party by Alice S. Cardon The Young Adults of North Logan Utah Stake held a very successful and fun Halloween party on Saturday evening at the Hyde Park Civic Center. Many of the young people came in costumes. The evening's activities included square dancing. games and refreshments. Young people from the three North Logan wards, the two Hyde Park wards and Benson Ward joined together for the party. Brent Reese, son of Shar-le- ne and Charles Reese, had the misfortune of breaking an ankle while playing basketball at the church house on a Tuesday evening recently. Norma and Russell Sea-moare proud grandparents of a baby boy bom on October 16 at the Logan hospital. The babys parents are Dauna and Richard Humphreys of Hyde Park. They also have a little girl. Heather. Doyle and Lucille Cardon of Fresno. Calif., are visiting this week at the home of his mother. Mrs. Isabelle R. Cardon. On Saturday evening. the family of Mrs. Cardon honored her at a dinner in celebration of her 93rd birthday anniversary. Present besides the honored guest and Doyle and Lucille, were Mrs. Cardon's other five children and their partners: Mr. and Mrs. Russell (Margaret) Rich of Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Lorin (Neva) Hawkes of Bountiful: Mr. and Mrs. Grant (Nada) Stevenson of Orem : Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cardon and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Cardon of Ben- , IT'S THE SOFT WONDERFUL Annette Scott and four little boys from Idaho Falls. Idaho spent the weekend as guests of Barbara and Jim Watterson and family. Annette and her husband Rusty and children are former members of Benson Ward. Rusty was employed as a hired man for Paul Thain. Marie and Warren Ger-eau- x and family, who have been living in Benson for the past year or two have moved from the ward. Their new home is a large mobile home at a trailer court in Richmond. Marie has been teaching the cultural refinement lesson in the Benson Ward Relief Society, and Warren has been acting as Sunday School librarian. It is hoped that they will be happy in their new home. Of interest to local residents is the death of Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Tietjen of San Mateo. Calif. Margaret, age 63 at the time of her death, was the daughter of Thomas Edward Ricks, a former resident of Benson (brother of W'allace and Webster Ricks). Survivors include her husband Fred Tietjen of San Mateo: a son. Fred Henry; and the following brothers and sisters: Thomas Ricks. Douglas Ricks. Mrs. Mildred Carlisle. Mrs. Clara Radlow, and Mrs. Ann Cox. BUTTER-RITELECTRIC GRANDINETTI mm? On Thursday afternoon and evening Troy Jenkins, son of Marsha and Van COOK POT Jenkins, celebrated his eighth birthday. A party was given by his mother. A fun early evening was enjoyed with games and refreshments by Craig Rigby. Craig Benson. Wae Buxton. and Bryan Benson. Also later in the evening family members who enjoyed sharing his birthday were VeNeal Jenkins, grandmother. Leda. Debra, Ann and Ted Sutherland, of Newton: Henry and Dini P. Sutherland of Logan: Mildred Sutherland of Newton and Annette Benson of Newton. A barbecue super was served. Also a birthday cake. etc. Troy received many fine gifts. A fun evening was enjoyed by everyone for this occasion. On Friday Debra and Leda Sutherland of Newton spent the day in Ogden with family members. Those who enjoyed this pleasant day shopping. having dinner, and visiting were Esther Saltern of Logan. Deanna Hulme and three children of Hyrum. Vonda and Christine Cheney of Brigham City. Betty Quayle and son. Cameron of Ogden. Sacrament meeting was conducted by first counselor, Myron Benson. The opening song was sung by the ward choir. "What Was Witnessed in the Heavens."
