Show 4. THE CITIZEN THURSDAY, JULY 10. 1975 Benson Folks Entertain Guests On TheHome Front By Jeniene Adamson by Alice S. Cardon Courage Elder Michael Falslev, son of Bishop and LaRae Falslev, Bob wasnt home. When I was younger and if a bee Early one morning last week I was rudely awakened by the sound of buzzing just inches above my head. I very sleepily opened one eye and there, just a buzz entered my room, I to went and room another the left part of the merely house until someone could come and kill it. Well, the situation had suddenly changed. It was only one o'clock in the afternoon and I didnt feel like locking myself in my bedroom until my fearless leader returned from work. a So I grabbed the most deadly weapon I could find can of hair spray. I then proceeded on my plan of attack. Stealthily I sneeked into the living room. My can poised and ready for action, I spotted the enemy. I got the vulture in my sights and got as close as I could without shaking too bad and started to spray. Bullseye! Relentlessly I kept spraying until it finally fell to the insect. ground. A plastic-coate- d Just to make sure of its demise, I ran into my bedroom, retrieved my hard sole shoes and returned to the battle ground. There it lay motionless. Nevertheless I proceeded to dismember it fearlessly with the toe of my shoe. Then perspiring with my victory I vacuumed the casualty up in my machine. away was a bee! I'm petrified of bees. I tell you. Ive never in my life got out of bed so fast. I ran screaming down the hall after I shut the door, of course, telling Bob to come and kill the huge thing immediately. As he looked at me hopelessly he went calmly into the bedroom while I was spreading my fingers apart describing the monsters length. After he remained in there for sometime I ventured a peek through a crack in the door. He was calmly getting dressed for work. Can't find it, he said. Then youre not going to work, I said. I couldnt figure out how it got in and then Bob showed me where the screen had blown off during the night leaving the window wide open to vicious predators. I finally After searching the room thoroughly conceded that it must have flown away. As I said before, I hate bees. I have this wierd radar system that can detect and identify a bees buzz from a flys whiz a hundred yards away.
