Show r THURSDAY, Einar Pedersen Funeral services fen: Lydia Thurston Nyman, 85, widow of Orvin Nyman, were conducted Monday noon at the Nelson Memorial Funeral Chapel under the direction of Bishop Kay Jeppesen. She died late Friday of Einar L. Pedersen, 86 year former Newton resident, died last Saturday at the old Minidoka Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born Jan. 6. 1889, She was born in Hyde Park Oct. 17, 1889, a daughter of Stephen and Eliza Hurren Thurston. She received her education in the Cache County schools and at Brigham Young College in Logan. Mrs. Nyman was active in the LDS Church, and had received a pin for continuous service to the Primary organization. She also served in the Relief Society presidency and as a in the Copenhagen, Denmark, son of Lars and Agnes Lang-ste- d natural causes. Pedersen. He came to the United States in 1906 and settled in Newton, where he lived for 50 years, expect for a few years in Salt Lake City. He married Hildora Rande on Oct. 26, 1910, at the Salt Lake Temple. She died in 1965. 40-ye- ar teacher in the Sunday School, YLMIA and the Relief Society. She was married to Mr. Nyman June 30, 1909; they had lived in North Logan all their married lives. She coauthored a book on North Logan history. Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Kenneth Nyman, Nephi; Rodney S., and Mrs. Willard (Marjorie) Hill of Logan; Edith Nyman, North Logan and Mrs. Kenneth (Afton) Bateman of Salt Lake City. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; 25 a brother and three great-grandchildre- n; sisters, Stephen Thurston and Mrs. Del (Myrl) Ash- croft, both of Hyde Park, Mrs. Veda T. Nelson of Logan and Mrs. Vera T. Christensen of Boise, Idaho. Burial was in the Logan City Cemetery. Dale Albiston Funeral services for Dale Lorenzo Albiston, 57, were conducted Friday in the Arimo LDS Stake Center. Mr. Albiston, a resident of Smithfield, died in the Logan Hospital Tuesday. He was born June 16, 1917, in Hawkins Basin, Idaho, a son of John Lorenzo and Sarah Ellen Littlefield Albiston. On Aug. 1, 1939, he married Violet (Billie) Perkins at Pocatello, Idaho. The marriage was solemnized in Logan LDS Temple Nov. 29, 1967. Mr. Albiston was an active member of the LDS Church, had served as a Sunday School teacher and home teacher. He moved to Smith-fiel- d in November, 1974, where he was a member of the Smithfield Second Ward and active in temple work. Survivors include his widow of Smithfield; a daughter, Mrs. Merrill (Loma) Marley; a son, Brent Albiston, both of Smithfield; five grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Lucille Cappell, Mrs. Verla Mar-le- y and Mrs. Elda Green, Pocatello; Mrs. Lois Williams and Mrs. La von Bower, Arimo; a brother, Ralph Albiston, Salt Lake City; a foster brother, Laurence Monroe, Payette, Idaho. Burial was in the Robin, Idaho Cemetery. W. N. Jonas W. Norwood Jonas, 50, Burley, died of injuries after being struck by a car March 14 in Burley. He was born May 15, 1924, in Lewiston, Utah, a son of Joseph N. and Lillian Coley Jonas. He married Colleen Mary Andra, Sept. 27, 1946, in Elko, Nev. He had worked at the Sego milk plant in Richmond and at Dei Monte in Burley since He was an active member of the LDS Church and had held many positions including MIA and choir leader in Newton. She was born Sept. 26. in Smithfield, a daughter of James Edwin and Eva Alvira Lemmon Sheen. She married George Vernal Stephenson May 28, 1924, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Dec. 9, 1960. The had made their home in Smithfield for 64 years; for the past six years, Mrs. Stephenson had resided in Logan. She was a member of the Logan 15th Ward, and had been a Relief Society teacher and work director for many years. Mrs. Stephenson was active in Cache Senior Citizens and was organization, among those instrumental in obtaining a new building for the Seniors. Surviving are two sons and one daughter: Edwin Ver1904, nal, Victorville, Calif.; Ralph A., Logan; Mrs. Dale (Evadene) Saxton, Magna; 10 grandchildren; six n; three broth- ers, Joseph L. Sheen, Logan; Willis Sheen, Smithfield, and George Sheen, Elko, Nev. Burial will be in the Smith-fiel- d City Cemetery. Infant BENSON Call Graveside services were held Tuesday morning for the infant daughter of Patti and Michael Call. She is survived by her parents; two brothers, Chris and Jeffrey; and by her grandparents, Katheryn and Royal Stewart, all of Benson. Preventing tooth decay was the goal of PTA volunteers who gave instruction to each student in an effective method of cleaning his teeth with a toothbrush and dental floss (dental floss used in grades three through six only). Following this instruction, he then brushed his teeth with a special flouride paste. Learning an effective met hod of removing food, debris, and dental plaque from the teeth along with the of flouride paste will help to prevent dental decay and diseases of the gums. This should be followed by regular home care and dental checkups.
