Show I grmroo 8 I THURSDAY, VmnrmTmTTrrm 4 Peiee AMID) 4Cam&c- - War Declared I MEN & BOYS I declare war! War on box tops, can lids and plastic pouring spouts. While looking on the grocers shelves I find boxes marked with easy pouring directions. I take it home and carefully read the instructions. It says in bold dark print, Push in here and pull up. Simple, I think. Or should that read, I think simple? Anyway, I pull and tug and break nails, chip teeth and growl but no go. I finally take a knife.. Bent on nothing less than murder I attack the enemy. I plunge the knife deep into the boxes innards and triumphantly withdraw'the weapon. I then proceed to stick a digital into the opening and pull up. Well, the manufacturers were right. I pushed in, pulled up and it opened. Victory Use . Of course, one has to be adept at reading in circles. Since Im always going around in circles this always proves easy. Anyway, on with my war declaration. Nothing works. My electric can opener bites the aluminum, whirls around the top of the can' without puncturing anything. . So I decide to take my antique hand model and proceed to try to pierce the armour. Nothing. I then delve into the junk drawer and retrieve the simple camping can opener. The kind you push in, rip, push in, rip. The company was right. Any can opener can open their product. I have a great distaste for opening milk cartons. I grab the end and spread it apart only to read the illustrious winds, Open Other End. I believe em, too. If you open the wrong end, both ends spread apart so you have a choice of four corners to spill from. If you take the time to find the right end and pour out of it you'll find only the bottom leaks. from Endicott Johnson BOYD LEWIS AND LYNETTE ROBINSON Richmond Girl Plans Wedding To Boyd Lewis Mr. and Mrs. Louis Robinson, Richmond, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Lynette to Boyd A.
