Show I - THE CITIZEN - THURSDAY, SEPT. 2S, 1974 Obituaries MARTHA PETERSON Martha Peterson Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 :00 d p.m. in the Smithfield Ward chapel with Bishop Earl Lindley officiating for Martha Jane Riet Peterson, 73, who died Tuesday at her home in Smith-fielFirst-Secon- d. She was born March in'Rotterdam, Holland, a daughter of Welliam and Johanna Adrianna Vagulich Riet. y She married Merrill Peterson April 2, 1931, in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Peterson had lived in Rotterdam until 1930, at which time she immigrated to the United States. For the past 43 years she has made her home in Smith-fiel- d First Ward. Active in the church, she had assisted with mission work in the Netherlands mission, had taught Sunday School, MIA, and genealogical classes, as well as serving as a Relief Society visiting teacher. She has been a bookkeeper for the Smithfield Limber and Hardware Co. for 35 years. Surviving are her husband of Smithfield; one daughter Mrs. William (Evelyn) Harris, Salt Lake City; brothers and sisters, William, Christian P. and Daniel E. A TRIP FOR TWO TO SEE BIO BLUE Beth Ann Miller Utah State University vs. Kent State October 19th Memorial funeral services for Beth Ann Miller, 20, were held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Richmond Stake House under the direction of Bishop Dean Andrus. Beth Ann was fatally injured in a highway collision Friday afternoon one mile north of Thayne, Wyo. She was born February 25, 18954 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Roy Henry and Carol Carlson Miller. She was a graduate of Sky View High School and LDS Seminary, and had received her nursing degree at Weber State College. At the time of her death, die was employed as a registered nurse at Logan Hospital. Miss Miller had been a Dairy Princess in Cache County, and was teaching a sewing class. An LDS Church member, she was a teacher in the Primary. Surviving are her mother, Carol C. Miller of Richmond;-he- r father, Roy H. Miller, Salt Lake City; four brothers, James Lee, Ogden; John, David and Thomas Miller, all of Richmond, her grandmothers, Mrs. Leona H. Carlson, Richmond, and Mrs. Martha Miller, Salt Lake City. Dedication of the grave was given by an uncle, Joey Carlson of Idaho Falls in the Richmond City Cemetery. Mildred Bailey Graveside services were conducted Thursday 12:00 noon for Mildred Izatt Bailey, 58, who died Friday in Fremont. California. They were under the direction of Bishop Rulon Falslev of Benson Ward. On Dec. 17. 1934 she was married to James J.Bailey in Logan. They moved to California shortly after. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband of Fremont, three daughters, Mrs. Neil (Jacqueline) Marloe, Mrs. Donn (Sylvia) Moon, and Mrs. Ronald (Annette) Vitale all of Hayward, Calif.
