Yippee. And about a week later we received a very polite letter of rejection from the head of the company. It seems that being students we had to have a little more in our savings account to be allowed to charge things. Fine, we didn't want one in the first place. A hope that someone will tell But I sure as 84?? the pushy clerks in that store that if they want to make brownie points theyd better find some other way to do it! ! ! It seems that it is nearly impossible to get along in this world without some type of "charge it" apparatus. And they tell us to stay out of debt! Remember the look on the clerks face the last time you paid for something in cash? I had a friend that did and the clerk had to call the manager to make sure it was all right! Larsen Reunion Held descendents Seventy-fiv- e of Ludvig E. Larsen and Johanna M. Larsen met at the Lion's Lodge in Smith-fiel- d on Saturday, Sept. 7, for their annual family reunion. On the committee in charge this year were Bos worth, Marie and Lloyd Sparrow of Preston, Idaho. These are children of the late Martha Sparrow West. At noon a delicious dinner was served and enjoyed by all members present. The afternoon was spent in visiting with games for the children. started in 1957 and a reunion has been held every year since that time. Seniors Take Tour De-moi- Cor-brid- A bazaar and auction was held with gifts and handwork donated by the families. The door prize made by Verna Bell was won by Cheryl West. The children's door prize was made and also won by Myrtle Matkin. The special gift this year was a quilt top made by Martha West and quilted by Marie This was won by Cora Hogan. Proceeds from the bazaar is used by Myrtle Cooper and Cora Hogan for research in the family genealogy. A beautiful flower decorated table held' the picture of Ludvig E. and Johanna M. Larsen and Martha and Roy Cor-bridg- e. West. The next year's reunion will be held at the Lodge on Sat. Sept. 13 with children of Iner Larsen in charge. This family organization was Wednesday was a special day of the Senior Citizens of Cache Valley. Three bus loads and a mini-bu- s took 140 citizens to the State Fair and the Holiday on Ice. Dinner was eaten on the fair grounds and a special program at 2:15 at the fair grandstand pleased every- one. The D. W. Roper Family-an- d the Marimba Artistery performed. Special plaques were presented to the oldest Senior Citizen, ones with the most grandchildren, etc. Robert Green was the director with O. W. Hyde, President of the Bridgerland Senior Citizen organization. Clubs The Yeshera Gub met Tuesday night at the home of Marion Bischoff and heard a report from her daughter Ellen Bischoff on her recent trip to Europe with the con-- . cert tour of America.
