North Cache Sky View Bands Perform, RICHMOND WRITER WANTED! Head for Ogden Meet The Sky View High School bands, under the direction of John Manning and Bill Bertolio, will present their annual Spring Clinic concert this evening at eight oclock at the auditorium. Featured on the program will be the Sophomore Band, the Jazz Ensemble, and the Symphonic Band. Guest clinicians for the groups are Professor Glen Fifield, Professor L a r r y high-scho- ol and Dr. Dean Madsen, all members of the staff at the Utah State University department of mu- Smith, sic. Professor Fifield has been w orking w ith the sopho- mores, Smith while Professor has rehearsed the Jazz Ensemble. Dr. Madsen has periodically over the past weeks prepared the students for tonights gala concert. The purpose in having the clinicians work with the students of the bands is to get them exposed to some different ideas and rehearsal techniques. The public is cordially invited. Admission is free. On Tuesday evening the Sky View High School Jazz Ensemble took part in the annual Region One J a z z Festival held at Weber High School in Ogden. Each of the participating groups was adjudicated and given a rating based on their level of performance. The winner of the Region One Festival will participate in the State Festival Student directors of the Jazz Ensemble are Dave Poulsen and Paul Manning. The groups director is Bill Bertolio.
